AHL hockey players are being given the opportunity to play for the Brandon Wheat Kings as part of a five-year contract extension.

Brandon Wheat Kings General Manager Jim Purdy announced the contract extension with the team on Wednesday.

Hendrickson, who was selected by the Kings in the third round (139th overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, is expected to be with the Wheat Kings through at least 2019-20.

Henderson was selected to the AHL’s Western Conference All-Star team in 2016-17 after being selected in the fourth round (115th overall).

He scored 15 goals and 27 assists in 65 games for the Wheat Leafs last season, leading the AHL in scoring and assists.
