A university is an institution which is designed to provide the best educational experience for students, and has been recognised as the top provider of education in Malaysia, according to the World Bank.
But the institution also has a range of activities, from helping people to get jobs to promoting economic development and promoting civic engagement.
A university can be a source of learning for the wider Malaysian community.
The world bank has placed a high priority on the education sector as a key component of its economic development strategy and has invested in universities, said Tan Sri Abdulla Abdul Rahman, director-general of the World Development Indicators.
“The university sector is important for the economy, education and civic engagement,” he said.
“The global university sector in 2030 will reach $100 billion.”
